toy stories 02: my musical table

my musical table is a gift i got from mum + dad on my very first birthday.

apart from the colorful knobs + dials that i enjoy twiddling + pressing, the balls + the leaping frog + the merry-go-round mushroom + the fun sounds they make, it also has a small piano on the other side where i can play some nice music, with wonderful lights to go with that, too! the music also changes when you turn the music book from one page to another.

+ when am tired of pressing the knobs + buttons, or making music in the piano, i can turn the table around + appears yet another surprise! the table doubles as a yellow table with lots of slots where i can put the colorful, rounded blocks that comes along with my table. i can use it to build a tower or i can just play with the blocks alone + scatter them all over my room! i really love doing that! 😉

my table toy also has these cute ladybug + insect power + volume button! really cool! + when am all tired of playing with the sounds, i simply topple the table over so i can use it a makeshift ramp or chair (see how i do it + how much i enjoy it here)! that is the funnest part 🙂

mommy + me monday: a summer to remember

this summer was very memorable since it was the first time that i really get to celebrate it! last year, i was still a teensy-weensy baby with skin allergies that mum was scared to bring me to the pool or the beach, plus she was still quite busy with work back then. this time though, mum + dad decided i am big enough to endure long hours of travel and brave the cold water!

the travel up north took 3 hours if i remember it clearly. i was busy looking at the cars that zoom by + later on the greenery dotting both sides of the expressway. i also fell asleep after a while + had a short nap so i’d be energized for when the time we arrive to the place. we arrive to the coral view resort at past 9am, but the place is teeming with vacationing people, adults + kids alike. i cannot blame theme, everyone is looking for ways to beat the summer hear + so we did! 😉

it only took us just awhile to settle in + after mum is finished with slathering some sunblock on my face, neck + back, off we are to the nearest pool to play + swim. we actually played + swim the rest of the morning + when we were tired of playing in the pool, we went for a walk in the sand. it was actually my first time to walk barefoot in the sand + i think it is sort of fun, there is just a funny, fuzzy feeling once the sand stick to my wet feet, but nevertheless, it is cool! my mum said she loves doing it! we also went for a dip in the beach. and much thanks to my floater, i was able to float my way into the clear, cool beach water. i saw little fishes + seaweeds in the shore + some wooden boats out in the sea too.

we took a break in the afternoon, i saw some folks diving into the water to get some coins that were thrown in earlier, it was the coolest!

while the grown ups had their late lunch + i took my afternoon nap after having my favorite treat, a bottle of my milk! yeah!

the moment i woke up we were off again for another round of fun + play in the water. i really liked it much + i totally had a great time! we left before dark + was on the road by 5pm.

while traveling home, we saw animals on the side of the road – horses, goats + cows. we also saw some big sail ships + a plane in Subic. cool!

all in all, it was a day of total fun! hopefully we can do this again some time, or maybe next summer. in the meantime, when the weather turns sunny again, mum can probably set up my inflatable once more so i can splash + take a dip in the water!

how about you, how was your summer adventure?

toy stories 01: tomy + the eggs

we received this, along with a tiger stuff toy + a tiger book, a few weeks back. it was a package sent by mum’s blogger friend, mommy joy (if you want to receive toys + books from her too, do head down to her blog to contact her). the instant i saw this toy, i wanted to play with it at once, but mum told me that she has to clean it first. the moment mum finished cleaning them, i played with these toys right away. they are a bunch of cracked eggs sitting atop holes that matches the egg bottoms. it is battery-operated although we have yet to see what it does, since mum wasn’t able to buy a new set of batteries for it yet. the eggs also have different expressions.
the eggs come in bright, different colors plus i like the shapes of the egg bottom. there is a star, a triangle, a square, a cross + a bunch of others. this is a great toy to learn about colors + shapes. mum is showing me the varying shapes and colors so i’ll get familiar with them + recognize them on my own when i get a bit older.

this is my first share for this brand spankin’ new meme:
