out + about: attending my classmate’s birthday party

children's party, kids, out + about, birthday, birthday party

If you are in Grade 1 this school year, then you probably either celebrated your 7th birthday or you are being invited to your classmates’ birthday party. According to mum, turning 7 is a milestone in a child’s life that is why most children celebrate it with a party. I celebrated my 7th birthday last year, too, + have also been invited to a number of parties the last few months. The latest of which was the one I attended last weekend with mum.

It was my classmate Jewel’s party + it was held in a cool outdoor event venue in Guiguinto. Jewel + her family prepared a beautiful fair for all of her guests. Upon arrival, we were given stubs that we should use for each of the booths available at the party. There are so many booths that day, among them are for cotton candy, sweet treats and desserts, hotdog, french fries. There is also a photo booth, face painting,  several booths for fun games where I was able to win prizes with my friends by hitting a stack of cans with ball!

Cars 3 Trailer

I was overly excited when mum told me about the new trailer for Cars 3! If you are a regular reader of our blog, you probably know by now that I am a big fan of Lightning McQueen + have probably seen his first 2 films about a hundred times! 😀

I have never seen any of Lightning McQueen’s films on the big screen so I am really looking forward to watching Cars 3 at the cinema when it opens next year! 😀 Mum said we’d watch it on IMAX, but I have second thoughts about wearing a cool glasses while watching a film, so I am going to think about that first.

We have no idea on what Lightning’s new adventure will be, apart from what’s been shared on this trailer, but here’s a brief about the new film we got from Wikipedia:

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game he will need the help of eager young female race technician Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Doc Hudson. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet, he will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage against his new rival, Jackson Storm.

Cars 3, the 3rd film in the Cars franchise will be shown on 16 June, 2017, so we only have 6 months to wait until we get to see Lightning McQueen and his gang. Are you also excited about the new Cars film? Which character is your favorite?

There are a number of other films to look forward to in 2017, among them are a number of my favorites. Will be sharing them here next, as soon as mum is done reading all about the cool presonus faderport.

Join SpongeBob SquarePants + His Friends In The Ultimate Bikini Bottom Buddy Search!

events, Nickelodeon, kids, announcement, weekend

If you love watching Spongebob + his friends, then we have some good news for you! Read on to know more about Nickelodeon’s evening treats on 20-24 July, and the Bikini Bottom Party happening this Saturday, 18 July at SM Megamall!

Kids and kids-at-heart are about to have a lot of underwater fun this July as Nickelodeon treats everyone to a SpongeBob SquarePants spectacular! From July 20-24, tune in to Nickelodeon and enjoy the evening with SpongeBob, Patrick, and the rest of the gang for two whole hours every day, starting at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. We know watching our favourite characters from Bikini Bottom get silly and crazy is already such a thrill in itself, but that’s not even half the fun! Every day, the two-hour marathon will feature eight characters from the show. The real excitement begins at the end of the last episode, when you can finally get in on the action. It’s also where it gets tricky, because not only would you have to remember all eight characters you spent the evening with, but you also have to start hunting them down—on your computer! Be sure to catch a quick instruction on TV at the end of the marathon, then go online to play the Ultimate Bikini Bottom Buddy Search. Find the SpongeBob poster image and spot all the eight characters of the day! You might need to borrow dad’s magnifying glasses for this one, because there sure is a big Bikini Bottom party going on in there, and could get pretty crowded in the neighbourhood. By the end of the week, if you were able to find all 40 of SpongeBob’s friends and have managed to clear all five levels of the online game, you’ll a get chance to unlock an exclusive never-before-seen SpongeBob SquarePants episode online! You could also win awesome prizes and get to create your own Bikini Bottom resident. How’s that for an under the sea adventure?

If you have not made any plans for the weekend, here is a great way to spend the afternoon with family and friends:
