…the adventures of my little man
We received the Hot Wheels Speedtropolis Playset earlier this year. I absolutely love cars so I was very happy to see it and way too excited to open it! Dad + I immediately opened the package and set it up before mum can even take photos.
The Speedtropolis Playset has the following features:
i did not get around to finish the abc hop i joined over the summer as mum + i had been rather busy with a number of things at that time. so am thinking of finishing the meme at my own pace, anyway, + share a number of fun, colorful + hopefully enjoyable stuff for you to read!
my lightning mcqueen flapbook is one of my favorite books ever! mum ordered it online last year + was delivered to us after a month or so. why i like it? because it features all my favorite characters from my favorite cars 2 movies, of course. it is actually the book version of cars2 + it allows me to relive the story over + over again!

if you have been a regular visitor of my little corner, you must’ve noticed by now that i am really drawn to anything cars. i am also fascinated with the history + trivia relating to cars, like did you know that the first car or automobile, called Benz Patent-Motorwagen, was made in 1886 by German inventor Carl Benz? cool, right?
this interest not only include my favorite cartoon character, lightning mcqueen and his gang of interesting + colorful cars, but extends to other toy car, car collectibles, car racing arcade games + mobile up,+ real cars, as well. i think i got this from my dad, who also loves cars + dreams of me being a car racer when i grow up!
it was my dad who kindled this interest in cars when he’d tag me along to watch all those exciting honda race car videos on youtube. he is also quick to point out those awesome cars whenever we are out for a drive. just recently we saw this very cool lamborghini gallardo, as we passed by their showroom. i think it is really handsome!
apart from watching cars,i also enjoy it very much when we are out for a drive on my dad’s car! especially when he’d put my favorite song, sweet child o’ mine, on the player. sometimes when i am preoccupied with the scenery passing by, he’d put his player on fm radio to listen to current music or to one of those funny + interesting talk shows. i think they make car traveling much more interesting.
speaking of radio talk shows, here are a few interesting tidbits about car talk radio that people from nprcartalk.com created, i hope you learn something from it!
christmas is right around the corner + while the grown ups, especially our parents busied themselves in preparation for that day, it will be most fun for us to make our christmas wish list as early as now, so we can tell our mums + dads, as well as our other loved ones, what exactly do we love to receive for christmas.
we brought home a catalog of a local toy store a few months back + i have been browsing it every time i find the chance since then. there are just too many cool + wonderful toys to choose from + sometimes i wish i can have everything i want in it!
of course, i can only request for a couple of toys from my parents so i really need to choose very carefully. one of the toys at the top of my list will have to be this remote control lightning mcqueen car! it would be awesome to play with a lightning that actually runs + i bet i will have such a great time playing with it!
i would also love to have one or two new diecast cars to add to my little collection. i would really love to have fillmore + sally, hopefully we can still find some at the local toy stores. i would also love to have doc hudson + holly shiftwell! an ironman mask or a harry potter lego set will also be cool addition to my collection of toys!
mum was browsing online the other day + we saw this exciting chasin cheeky toy. he’s a purple monkey that moves + shakes. you can even play with him by tossing him bananas! i bet it would also be fun to play with him at home so i wouldn’t mind getting one of these for christmas, too! 🙂

mum knows how much i love lightning mcqueen + his gang. we are actually collecting these guys + so far i’ve got about 9 of them. i am very happy to have a brand new addition to my collection + this time mum got me this big cars 2 double decker bus. it doubles as a transporter for the little diecast + a home for them, too, when i am not playing with them. it can accommodate 7 cars, but it was a good thing guido is so tiny he can easily share a spot with his good pal, luigi! 😀 the bigger diecast red also won’t fit, so i just let him sit on the open air top whenever we are playing.
this toy is not much like the other cars in my collection since it is made of plastic. mum always reminds me to be careful with it + refrain from dropping it as it might get broken easily, but so far, after a couple of bumps + falls, it is still in one piece, so i have to say it is made of good quality plastic! i will just be mindful not to drop it too often, though! 🙂
if you are a fan of the movie, you will see the doubledecker bus in action when the world grand prix had its final leg in london, they tower over other cars in the streets of this lovely city. i actually dream of riding a real doubledecker bus one day! 🙂
