my toy car, woody

toys, play, kids, toy stories, carsi didn’t think i’ve shared one of my very first toy cars with you, meet woody! he is one of the first few cars dad ever bought me. he’s got it from one of the gasoline station that had a promo of these toys last year, i guess. what’s so cool about him is that he can run fast + very far + all i need to do is push him a little backwards + he’ll go zooming on his own.

it took me quite a while to learn how to play with him, of course, i had to ask my mum most of the time to do it for me. but after a while, i got the hang of it + managed to do it on my own.

colorful toy train

toys, toy stories, colorful stuffs, toddlers,

mum got me this colorful wooden toy train, too, the last time she went out to go to manila. check out the other wooden stuffs she’s got for me here. what i love about this train is that it has numbers on them so mum can teach me how to count while i am playing with them.

each pieces can also be separated, so i can have a single, very long wooden train or many little train pieces, what fun! 😀 it is now one of my favorite toys, well, each one of them is my favorite anyway 😛

my orange story book

books, orange stuffs, toddlers

mum got me this book before i was even born, + has been reading it to me since i was a little baby. dad also read it to me on few occasions. this book is a classic story written by beatrix potter about timmy tiptoes. it tells about his + his wife’s adventure on gathering food in preparation for the winter season. something bad happened + timmy end up spending the rest of winter inside a tree with some other animals.

i don’t think i should tell you the whole story, you better get a copy + read it for yourself, it will be a fun read, i promise. but it’s even better if you get your parents to read it for you {like me, since i cannot read just yet ;D}

this was a secondhand copy, by the way, mum got it from one of her favorite bookshops, booksale {which she said she used to frequent when she was pregnant with me} + according to the first page of the book, this once belonged to a certain girl named maddie jane 🙂

did you read any interesting books lately? 🙂

i really enjoyed playing with it + mum was so delighted + surprised that after 2 days of playing i can now put up the pieces together + finish the puzzle in no time.

mum can’t help felling giddy that she just had to take these photos while i was playing with it. she said puzzles are great in teaching little children like me about critical thinking + preparing me for more complex problem-solving in school + in life in later years.

i had a blast playing with this toy, i can’t wait to play with my other new toys but mum wrapped them in christmas wrappers + placed them under our tree, so i guess i have to wait ’til christmas morning to do just that 😛

apologies for the late posting of kids in doodles this week, i guess you might have read about my sickness by now. am still recovering + mum’s praying i take the meds soon enough. do join us this week + share your kids in doodles stories, will ya? 🙂

my musical stack + ball game toy

toys, play, toddlers, toy stories

one of my most favorite toy is this yellow elephant-like stack + ball toy. mum + dad got this when i was about to turn 1 + i’ve really had loads of fun playing with it. how do i play it? i stack up the colorful rings made of fabric which make up the body of the colorful elephant. when i am done i take out the colorful balls from the hole + drop it on top of the elephants head. the balls have beads inside so they make beautiful sounds when they move. the bottom of the funnel-like plastic body also makes wonderful sounds when you drop the ball inside it, which makes playing time all the more fun…

sometimes, mum would also try to make fun of me by using the fabric stackables as improvised headbands, she would put one on her head + the little one on mine, which i’d automatically remove since i really do not like putting anything on my head. my mum would then break into peals of laughter. funny mum, won’t you agree? 😉

my toy has been particularly silent for awhile now as it runs out of battery, so i hope mum can get me some batteries very soon so i can play with my toy again.

sharing this thru toy stories + orange tuesdays
