this is one of my favorite vanessa carlton (born vanessa lee carlton on august 16, 1980) song, i love the beat, i love the melody, i love the piano part + i love the poetic lyrics…this is her very first single from the album be not nobody (2002) which also spawned the singles ordinary day + pretty baby..according to mr. wiki, a thousand miles was also used in the 2004 movie, white chick +  disney channel’s movie you wish.

vanessa will be releasing her 4th album, rabbit on the run by june of this year, until then i’d listen to this old favorite some more, i haven’t heard it in awhile…
