kids in doodles: my hair cut

mum has been planning to get me a haircut since the new year started, my hair grow so fast + now my bangs {if you can call it that} is now poking at my eyes + i am really starting to get uncomfortable with in. not to mention, i’d sweat so much in a day that i’d end up all smelly + sweaty at the end of each day! so yesterday, sunday, mum + tita cecille + me went to sm pampanga for my much-needed haircut!

of course, if ever you’ve seen me in my past haircut episodes, you’d know that i am the type who’d put up a fight + make a big fuss even with just sitting at the barber’s chair. it does not matter how nice their car chairs look or that these car chairs also have some nice sounds, too! i simply won’t sit, knowing what’s to come next!

this particular hair cut session is no exception, i cried + fussed + refused to sit on the chair. i actually ended up sitting on mum’s lap. i only relaxed when i saw this familiar red car figure on the tv screen zooming on the race track.

i still struggle with the barber, occasionally, + just plainly refused that he use the buzzing razor on me! i guess our barber for that day was really a talented one cause he still managed to give me a proper hair cut, + a good one at that, even though i was fidgeting + dodging his comb + scissors all the while! 🙂

my lightning mcqueen magic slate

i did mention in my kids in doodles post that mum + i went to manila last weekend to meet up with my ninang jack. i last saw her when i was baptized, so i am not familiar with her that much. mum + her agreed to meet up at the block, in sm north. we found one of this shops that serve taho, which is one of my favorites + the grown ups decided to sit there for awhile as they finish their cups of taho. i am not too fond of it + would rather play around while they eat 😀

ninang jack gave me a gift which i excitedly open. when all the christmas wrapper is gone, i got this lightning mcqueen magic slate + i liked it instantly. i doodles on the magnetic pad + played with the clock + the knobs on top. it also comes with these shapes of heart, circle + triangle that leaves a stamp-pad like print on the slate when you use it. mum also wrote letters on the slate for me to read + my ninang was so delighted that i can now distinguish + read most of the letters of the alphabet 😀

after i got bored writing on the slate, the different stamp-pad like shapes make for good improvised balls i threw around the floor! i was all over the floor catching them, + sometimes mum would run + get them for me. + did i mention i knocked down a poster/display in the shop in the middle of my rough play? glad the shop keeper did not spank me!

mum told me to just sit + behave after that, but she knows i cannot really sit still for 5 solid seconds, i had to run around the place again. i busied myself checking out the mannequins nearby before the grown ups decided to call it a day.

before i go on about my doodles story for this week, let me just tell you that we’ve revised our giveaway mechanics + decided that anyone who joined our weekly meme twice + up will qualify. this is to give chance to those who cannot complete all of this month’s weekly linkie.

two weekends ago, we went to the cinema to see alvin + the chipmunks. mom noticed how i loved watching its trailer + thought it a good idea if we can get to see it in the big screen. so we troop to the cinema one sunday + it was one of the funnest films i’ve seen so far {i have not seen quite a lot, of course :D}

the story is all about alvin, simon + theodore’s adventure, together with the chippettes when they were blown away from their ship into an island far away, aboard a kite. the adventures + misadventures began when they set foot on the island.

i enjoy the songs + the dance routines, particularly + mum was so smitten by simon who turned french due to a spider’s venom 🙂

i was watching the entire time + did not sleep one second + for mum’s book, that is a clear indication that i did enjoy the film!

this photo, by the way, was taken much later when we met up with my ninang jack in manila, last weekend {more about that on my upcoming posts}. we saw the big 3 statues as we pass by the cinema + we cannot resist posing with them. ^_^

my new orange love ~ tigger

that’s right! i’ve got a new orange favorite, my new stuffed friend, tigger! this was my ninang gold’s gift to me for christmas of 2010. we were not able to meet + it was only this month that dad was able to meet up with her to get my gifts ^_^

tigger is quite big for a stuffed toy, the largest in my collection, actually, + he stands just a few inches shorter than i am. so i guess, he’ll have to be the kuya of my gang of stuffed friends 😀
