Mum was recently invited to the launch of the Energizer Playground at the Activity Center of Trinoma in Quezon City. I was more than happy to tag along + was excited at the prospect of seeing battery-operated toys. I was hoping to see familiar character toys + I never went home disappointed! Read more about our experience to know why I enjoyed this day out. 🙂
The Energizer Playground
Energizer, the makers of the World’s Longest Lasting AA and AAA batteries, which I am sure you are familiar with as you commonly use them on those RC cars and other battery-operated toys, made the holiday more fun for us kiddos as they unveiled the World’s First Energizer-Powered Playground. Parents and kids were given 1 hour to enjoy a wide assortment of battery-operated toys all powered by Energizer batteries, with a purchase of Energizer batteries, chargers, and flashlights.
I told you I never went home disappointed as I have come face-to-face with a number of familiar battery-operated characters starting with Iron Man, StarLord, + one of my most favorite Leonardo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I also got to enjoy different types of remote control toys + got to see this awesome train going round and round the hoops on its track.
The Energizer Playground was divided into 4 different playgrounds namely the Wiz World, where I spotted Leo + the other toys + where I spent the longest time playing, Vroom Room that has the train + this big track laid on the floor, Tone Town that has different types of musical toys perfect for musically-inclined kids, and finally, Dash District where the kids get to enjoy a big selection of remote control toys, including this cool doubledecker bus which seemed to be moving on its own. 🙂
All For Charity
Apart from the many highlights of the Energizer Playground, the most special will have to be the special donation made to Manikako and HOPE Foundations. Manikako, which started out as a fund raising arm of the House of Comfort Art Network or ArtHOC {a non-profit organization that advocates empowerment through art}, makes handcrafted dolls from donated scraps of cloth. The HOPE Foundation, on the other hand, helps under-privileged children by providing them with food, clothing, education, + medical treatment.
Energizer Philippines Marketing Manager, Cara Ramirez-Tecson explains that it is very important for them to share the holiday spirit with kids. By supporting the Manikako Foundation and The HOPE Foundation, they were able to spread positive energy to the kids and make the Christmas season more memorable for them. Oh well, I do not think I can agree more.
I sure had a very wonderful time playing at the Energizer Playground that I was asking mum if we can go back there this weekend. Unfortunately, this is a one-off event, but I do hope that we might be able to enjoy it again next year + the years to come.
