kids in doodles: playing with stars

ย early learning, early childhood education, kids in doodles, playtime

one of my favorite things to do now is to play with stars, mum loves making them + placing them in bottles to be displayed in our home + while she busied herself with one of her favorite pastimes, i preoccupy myself with her finish products. here you’ll see me placing the little stars in this plastic bottle container. now i’ve moved on to pouring them from one bottle to another, one different container to the next. sure is a lot of fun! plus mum said it also keeps my little hands busy + helps me to work on my motor skills, so i guess it’s all good! ๐Ÿ™‚

apart from counting them up + aiming to shoot them onto the plastic bottle, i also enjoy scattering them on the floor + retrieving them one by one with my mum. they might end up all over the floor + underneath the sofa, but we enjoy picking them up + keeping them in their container afterwards ๐Ÿ˜‰

kids in doodles: kids have fun at robot zoo

out + about, weekend, educational places for children to visit, kids in doodles

mum, tita isabel + i went to moa 2 saturdays ago to check out the robot zoo! + to say that i had fun is really an understatement, i had a blast! i love animals, so i was really amazed when i saw these huge animal robots, as well as learn about a lot of so many things! among the big robot animals we saw are ~ giraffe, chameleon, grasshopper, platypus, bat, house fly, ย + squid! we are also taught how some body parts of these animals work! i get to push a few button to make the chameleon’s body move! how cool is that? ๐Ÿ˜‰

aside from the wonderful animals, i also get to try out a lot of cool games, including this one which is called jet propelled, which should also be called the racing squids, for obvious reason. you get to push a lever to get your squid moving + the first squid to reach the finish line wins the game. i was no match to the older kids who seem to have mastered the game earlier on, but it was really fun. ย i have also get to try a dozen nuts + bolts + levers!

there was also a small program after the robot zoo tour, where kids also get to play fun games. i was just having fun while my group is busy assembling the longest line possible so we can win the game. we were not lucky, though, but were also able to bring home nice nickelodeon goodies. ๐Ÿ™‚

mum’s favorite photo subject

toddler, out + about
to say that mum loves to take my photos is probably an understatement! i am her most favorite subject of all, she’d want to photograph every single move i make. ๐Ÿ˜‰

toddler, out + about
check out these photos, for example. we were just waiting for a bus or a public van to arrive + mum just couldn’t pass up on the chance to take some snapshots of me. i was clad in my new tiny manila tee which dad bought me not too long ago.ย i was also wearing my mum’s yellow watch! ๐Ÿ˜‰

toddler, out + about

i know mum still needs to practice on her photography skill + the place is hardly a perfect place for a photo session, but who really cares? we love those out-of-the-blue snapshots! ๐Ÿ˜€

lookie, mum even took a photo of this interesting road-side attraction:

we immediately opened mater as soon as we bought them + i was playing with it in the car on our way back home, just right before i fell asleep. ย since then, me + my diecasts are inseparable. i play with them every single day + every chance i got. i also particularly loved their size which makes them fit perfectly into my tiny hands, makes it easy for me to grab them during playtime + make them zoom past our sofa or a makeshift wooden plank! ๐Ÿ˜‰

it is now your turn to share your kids in doodles with us. check out the rules + the badges here + do not forget to check out the other participants ๐Ÿ™‚

kids in doodles: learning about shapes

kids in doodles, early childhood education

one of the things that i love learning about are the shapes. so far i have learned about the heart, crescent {which i fondly call “moon”}, square, triangle, circle, rectangle, oval + a whole lot more. although, i cannot pronounce them properly yet, i love saying their names + learning about their different shapes. mum is also quick to point out different things around me that has different shapes in them, like the ball, wheels + orange are circle while the door is rectangle. ย myย titaย bel has also gifted me with a glitter shape book which i hope we will be able to share with you in my future posts. i was just reading that book last night after dinner ๐Ÿ˜‰

+ recently, mum + i discovered this exciting video on youtube that teaches kids like me about shapes, too. + choo choo train is also one of my favorites! check out the video + i hope you enjoy learning shapes with it as much as i do!
