it sure was a gloomy + bleak day because of the storm + we have no classes today, but i am glad that we still managed to have quite an enjoyable day.we read this very interesting book, played with my transformers toys + with our teensy-weensy microscope. one of the things that i miss doing now that the rainy season is here again is traveling + visiting interesting places, just like what we did last year when we visited intramuros in manila. i did not get around to telling you all about it, so hear goes…
intramuros is one very interesting place for anyone to visit. the walled city is full of awesome places to check out, including a couple of churches, souvenir shops and museums. at the time of our visit, the atmosphere was very festive thanks to the street performers and the numerous shops that set up their wares and products on the street. my favorite of all was this shop that sells very huge bubble makers. i really had a wonderful time chasing the larger-than-life bubbles with other kiddos around.
another activity that i really enjoyed that day was when i tried the quad bike or what they call the electric chariot from one of the companies who joined the street exhibit that day. it was an awesome experience to try out the bike. i am sure i would’ve absolutely enjoyed it more if i was able to give it a go around the area.
it was indeed a great experience to visit intramuros. before leaving we also stopped by this souvenir shop with mum + her postcrossing friend, where i got to see all these pretty postcards. can you guess which ones we bought?
traveling to places is really a fun + enjoyable activity. i just hope the weather will clear up soon so we might get to spend time outdoors. in the meantime, let us all stay safe + pray that typhoon glenda won’t wreak havoc in our country.
i told you all about earth hour in my previous post + this year instead of turning off our lights to support earth hour, we joined other people from our city in a program held at robinsons place malolos. the celebration was also joined in by grown ups, including our city mayor, who made a short speech about our city supporting the 1-hour lights out for earth hour.
after the speeches from a couple of grown ups, people who were present are asked to sign in the earth hour board to show not only our support for earth hour, but also in making sure we also do things to help save our mother earth beyond earth hour. i signed my name, along with mum + tita jinky. can you see my name on this board? :Approve:
what did you do in support of earth hour this year? i would like to hear all about it in a comment below.
we were out one night to buy takeaway dinner from my favorite fast food when we chanced upon this cool car at the parking lot. a mini cooper!
mum did not wait a second to snap this souvenir shot and i do hope the car’s owner won’t mind. she also mentioned that she saw a similar car in front of the municipal hall when she was down there doing some errands. do you reckon both cars belong to the same person?
with the model, the color and the design, we really thought this car is cool + awesome, don’t you?
mum + dad promised we’d watch the lego movie + we did the day before valentines! :Movie-Time:
the film is something both the grown-ups + the children would enjoy but am sure i was the one who enjoyed it much more than my parents did! i loved that batman + the other superheroes were there. i was also surprised when one of my faves michelangelo of the teenage mutant ninja turtles made an appearance at the master builders’ meeting.
emmet + wyldstyle are now my favorites + yes, i also enjoyed the lego movie theme, everything is awesome, + i’ve sung + hummed it on many occasions after we saw the film!
did i mention i also completed the happy meal cups inspired by the lego movie? i will share all about them in another post. see yah!
last december mum + went to a christmas food bazaar at eastwood mall in libis, quezon city. it sure was a lovely experience as i saw a lot of colorful food, am sure they were equally delicious, am just not up to the task just yet. apart from checking out the different food stalls that participated in the food fare, we were also able to look around and saw how beautiful the place was. + did i mention, we also get to ride the train inside the mall where mum also bought me a toy!
it was probably a bonus that we came here during christmas season as the place is full of lovely christmas decors as well as beautiful + dazzling lights. i guess mum got all too excited she cannot help but take loads of photos of me! 🙂
one of my favorite spot here is probably this water part. am not sure if this is a mini pond or a water fountain for it sure looks like both, nevertheless, i enjoyed sitting on its edge and admiring the water below. there are small christmas tree structures right in the middle + am very sure they light them up at night.
here are a few more photos we took that day:
