kids in doodles: my playschool birthday celebration

hello again playmates! time flies too quickly + it is the “ber” months already. we almost failed to notice as we are too busy last week for me + mum;s birthday. i wish i could invite you all to our celebration but since you cannot join, for this week’s kids in doodles, i will tell you all about my birthday party! 😀

we had a simple celebration a day before my birthday at my playschool + all my classmates + my teacher were there to celebrate with us! it was a minion-themed birthday party + teacher kai made this cool minion cake + cupcakes just for me! 😀

mum prepared everything, with a little help from my tito ken, my titas + dad, too! we’ve prepared minion lootbags + prizes for the party games. a day before the party, mum + tita jinky was so busy preparing the balloons + the piñata. tita cecille also helped in cutting out little minions for our create-a-minion game!

on the day of the party, mum, tita cecille + i were in my playschool very early. we arrived before any of my classmates arrived! ates rica + april helped mum set up the balloons and put the piñata somewhere we can easily play with it. dad bought loads of candies to fill our minion piñata, he also bought spaghetti + chicken from jollibee! 🙂

when my teacher + classmates arrived, we started my celebration by creating our very own minion + coloring the minion color pages that mum printed for the occasion. we also sang our favorite action songs + got a number of stamps from teacher kai. miggy, one of my classmates, arrived late, but i am glad he was still able to celebrate with us.

after the activities, they lit up my number 4 candle + everyone sang a birthday song for me. i was a little excited i blew the candle before the birthday song even started that we had to do it over again! 😀 we then ate the jollibee meals prepared for us.

my favorite part of the celebration is when mum + i got to pull on the piñata + a gazillion of candies dropped! everyone was busy picking candies + lollipops everywhere! i enjoyed it so much i wanted to do it again! 😀 we were not able to do anymore games as my boy classmates + i were not too keen to participate!

mum distributed our minion lootbags afterwards + gave each of my classmates a prize. everyone loved the minion toys + key chain we have included in our loot.

mum said this is the very first party that i actually enjoyed + appreciated, she mused that maybe because i am a bit grown up now + have finally learned to appreciate stuff like this. it was one of the most enjoyable days of my life + i thank everyone who was part of it. ^_^

time for you to share your exciting experience last week, it can be anything you did or made last week. include one of our badges + link up. do not forget to drop by the other participants to make our gave even more fun, right? i will wait for your colorful doodles then! 🙂

How to Choose the Perfect Children’s Entertainer

kids, celebrations

My name is Mister Master Oh No, and I am a clown. I have big hair, a big red nose, big shoes, a big coat, big shows and, of course, a big, big, big personality. My specialty is working with children, making them smile. I think that I am a pretty darn great children’s entertainer. I have oodles of fantastic testimonials from people who think so too. But I would not dream of going as far to suggest that I am the only good children’s entertainer. There are hundreds out there, and choosing them can sometimes be pretty confusing. They never work with children or animals, so you can be sure that anyone brave enough to take on the challenge of entertaining a room filled with screaming five year olds is dedicated to their job! But there are a few tips that will help you when choosing a children’s entertainer for your child’s party – just follow these and you can ensure that they will be a big hit with even the fussiest kids!

Recommendations are great

If a friend recommends an entertainer, be thankful! You’ve just been saved the task of hunting for a reliable and funny entertainer for your child’s birthday. Chances are, if they were a hit at your friend’s party, they’ll be great at yours too. Likewise, don’t be afraid to recommend them to your other friends once the party is over.

Check out their background

Whilst you can usually get a feel for an entertainer’s background from their website, it helps to look a little deeper. Customer testimonials can only tell you so much, and it helps if you know how long they’ve been in the business and what they did before (if they had a previous job). All children’s entertainers should hold a valid CRB check and you’re within your rights to ask for evidence of this before committing to anything. Any reputable entertainer will have plenty of glowing references to impress you with! Of course, it’s a good idea to meet your prospective entertainer before the part to check that they’re exactly what you are looking for.

What do they do?

All children’s entertainers provide a different service, but some of the standard things you might expect include:
• Making balloon animals
• Clown act including old favourites such as the water-pistol flower
• Blowing bubbles
• A range of party games
• Music and sing-a-long

Most children’s entertainers are used to entertaining both large and small groups, but if you’re catering for a particularly large party or event it makes sense to check that the entertainer of your choice is comfortable with larger parties. Nothing is worse than a room of out of control kids!

Choosing the perfect children’s entertainer doesn’t have to be tricky – make sure that you find out what their act involves as well as how much they charge for their services, and always ensure that they have a valid CRB check in place to make sure it’s safe for them to work with children. By following these simple steps you can ensure your child will have a party to remember.

kids in doodles: my 3rd birthday party

kids in doodles, birthdays, occasions, celebrations, my favorite things

time again for another edition of kids in doodles. sorry that mum was not able to post one last week. we were a bit busy + you can also blame our crappy internet connection! anyway, here goes my doodle for this week. enjoy! 🙂

i recently celebrated my third birthday at a mcdonald’s branch in our city. it was one wonderful afternoon + although i had a little tantrum {must be because i did not take my afternoon nap} i enjoyed it a lot!

kids in doodles, celebrations, occasions, birthdays

i love the balloons, my toy story cake + cupcakes, the gifts + more importantly all the kids who went to celebrate with us! i was really most excited to see all these children at the same time. my cousins are there, playmates who were mum’s friends’ children, even a couple of my online playmates came to celebrate with us! my ninang chris, whom i have not seen in a while also came to my party, so did ronald mcdonalds + birdie!  😀

kids in doodles, celebrations, occasions, birthdays

we also had a number of games which i bet all my guests enjoyed much. i guess the only thing i did  not enjoy was the blaring loud music which was responsible for my tantrums in the first place.

all in all it was one wonderful birthday celebration i will always remember. thanks to everyone who joined us + for mum + dad for throwing this party for me! 🙂

how did you celebrate your last birthday?

it is your turn to share your doodle stories with us. don’t forget to include one of the badges found here + to hop on to other participants to make your playtime more fun!
