summer has officially started + what better way to beat the heat than by going for a swim! we just got back from our overnight swimming with my cousins, their parents + friends at jed’s island resort! of course, i had a great time bonding with my kuya sean + ate shane, we enjoyed swimming in the pool together and later on giving the wave pool a try. it was my first time to try a wave pool + it was so much fun. it felt as if you were actually on a beach with the waves! i really had a wonderful time wading in the water as the waves crash in! 🙂

i had a wonderful time swimming that mum actually found it real hard to take me out of the pool once i have dipped in. i was always the last to come out. the pool is a bit deeper for kids my age good thing there was this shallow part of the pool where we can stay. of course, i also had my floaters on either side of my shoulders at all times for safety purposes.

what can i say, it was really so hot + taking long swim in the pool is just the best way to cool down. we originally planned to just go for a day swim but we really enjoyed it + decided to stay the night with the rest of my cousins + their company. we passed the time watching all our favorite cartoons on disney junior + playing. + since our room was air-conditioned we also had quite a goodnight sleep.

the next day, we spent the entire morning until about lunchtime out in the sun, exploring the other pools inside the resort + having some of our photos taken. apart from swimming, there are also a lot of huge displays of familiar characters here which you can photograph with. there ironman + his avenger gang, shrek, mickey mouse, spongebob + a whole lot more. we were quite busy that i only get a chance to have my photo taken with some of the giant displays on our way out of the resort.

it was such a wonderful weekend + i simply cannot wait to hit the water again real soon! 😉

h is for happy birthday!

it will be my kuya sean’s birthday in a few days + since his birthday falls on a regular day + he has school at the time, his parents decided to have his party this weekend. his dad is also celebrating his birthday today so it was a double celebration. we arrived there late afternoon after we ran a few errands.

family, cousins, birthdays, occasions, out + about

ate shane, mum, the birthday boy, tita cecille + ate erica

there were already a number of children partying when we arrived, wearing sponge bob party hats + eating hotdog on sticks! my cousin invited a few of his neighbor kids + his cousins from his mum’s side of the family. i get to meet new people + get to play with them, too!

everyone had a wonderful time singing at the karaoke + although i did not know all the words to most songs yet, i enjoyed playing with the mic + listening to the other kids as they sing. kuya sean + i also spend our time playing with his big balloons.

we sang happy birthday songs to my kuya while he blows his candle to make a wish. i even blew one of the candles + i was glad he did not mind! 😀

we went home late at night + i was all tired + sleepy, but i really had a wonderful time seeing my cousins, celebrating + playing with them. again, happy birthday tito pj + happy birthday kuya sean + congratulations for being top 2 in your class this year! we love you + we are proud of you! ^_^

another playdate with my cousins

last sunday, my cousins + i went out for a playdate. we were supposed to go to activefun in sm north, where mum bought them unlimited playtime vouchers as christmas presents but plans were changed suddenly + we ended up going to the mall instead. so off we went to the nearest mall to our location, sm marilao.

even when we did not get to play non-stop in activefun, we still had a wonderful time together at the mall. our first stop ~ the arcade! we play this cool game where you have to hit animals, insects + other objects with little balls. of course, i cannot hit much since my little arms can only reach up to a certain point in the monitor, it was kuya sean + ate shane, who played mostly. but we all enjoyed this game, in fact, we went to play it one more time after our first round of tokens where used up + mum + tita cecille had to buy more! 😀

we also tried playing other games in the arcade, including my favorite, basketball, + a whole bunch of other slot machines where you’d get a gazillion of those tiny tickets when you hit the jackpot. you can exchange them with fun items from the counter once you reached a certain number of points.

after we used up all our tokens we transfer to this other arcade where they have different rides + games, too! ate shane got this cute angry birds plushy in one of the games. we all rode all the rides available there + when we got tired, we asked mum if we can ride those little motorcycles-for-rent. we had such a great time + we all enjoyed playing all the cool games + riding all the great rides! 😀

we capped the day by having a hearty meal in one of our favorite fast food. we sure had a wonderful time playing together + i really wish we can do this more often! 😀

d is for driver

i went out on a playdate with my cousins again last sunday. we had a wonderful time playing together + what we actually enjoyed the most is riding those fun arcade rides and those motorcycles, too! we were drivers for a day + what more can little kids like us ask for? 😉

out + about, weekend, family, playtime — *captain sean on his ship 😉*

we took turns riding the boat, an airplane + a cool red car {which reminds me so much of my fave, lightning mcqueen!}, so we were captains, + drivers, + pilots for a day. you bet i had a wonderful time, i rode most of them over + over, until we ran out of tokens! 😀 even ate shane enjoyed the rides!

after we tried all the rides available, we went and checked out those cool pocket motorcycles-for-rent, which was just in front of the arcades. although, someone had to assist me while riding since i cannot control the motorcycle on my own yet, it was really quite a fun experience. we’ve even put these cool helmets on before mounting our rides. made us feel like real drivers, won’t you agree? 😉

c is for cousins

my cousins are two of my favorite people in the world! apart from being family, they are also my friends + my playmates. back when we still live in my grandparent’s house, i get to spend most of my time with ate shane + kuya sean. we’d watch cartoons in my room, or go biking in the afternoon. it was really a lot of fun. now that mum + i live in a different house, i do not get to see my cousins often, that is why i really enjoy the time we spent together. just like when we went for a visit 2 sundays ago. i played computer games with them + i totally enjoyed plants vs. zombies, as well that fishy game, feeding frenzy.

we also danced to the tune of our favorite song, opa gangnam style, with matching strobe lights that my tito peejay installed in their living room! it was really fun. we also enjoyed an afternoon walk in the neighborhood with my mum + got the chance to see the animals in one of the neighbors. would you believe that the neighbor had a pet monkey caged just beside their fence? kuya sean even tried shaking hands with it! 🙂

we went to the memorial park later in the afternoon to visit my mama + papa. we only stayed there for awhile since the park closes at 6pm and we were not able to leave home sooner. we ran around + took photos with mum + my titas. i bet you can tell that we had loads of fun. this is how sunday afternoons are meant to be spent, i just hope we’ll be able to do this again soon! 🙂
