kid for a cause: join the #DinnerForCarlisle event

announcement, toddler for a cause, fundraising, kid for a cause

It must be very difficult for a child to experience a very serious illness earlier on in life. I can only imagine what they have to go through + what their parents have to go through to make sure they stay healthy + well. Having a sick child can be very taxing + heartbreaking to any parent or family. That is why it is a must that we do our share to help them in what little way we can. Mum came across Carlisle + his mum through their common friends online. He was diagnosed with brain tumor + to help fund his treatments + medications, her mum thought of putting up the Dinner For Carlisle event on 27 September, 2014. Buffet 101 Eastwood branch will be hosting a dinner-for-a-cause event for Carlisle. The #DinnerForCarlisle buffet is priced at Php 1,100 for adults and Php 600 for kids 3.5 ft and above. Children below the height limit is considered free of charge. Part of the sales will be for Carlisle’s hospital funds. Dinner starts at 5:30 PM.

If you have no plans for the weekend, make sure to go there + help Carlisle’s mum.

You can read more about this dinner-for-a-cause event on their Facebook Event Page, https://www.facebook.com/events/365351790283139, + you can also read more about Carlisle + his battle against Craniopharyngioma on his Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/HelpForCarlisle

Carlisle Von Patrick was born as a healthy bouncing baby boy on the morning of March 31st, 2012. Being a single mom who carried him for the whole nine months by myself, I was so overwhelmed that he came out as healthy as I prayed for. Crying out loud, rosy cheeks, birthmark. Everything seems to be perfect. I make sure that he’ll not be hurt, no insect will bite him. He was present on monthly check-ups, up-to-date with his vaccines.

help raise 100 gifts for typhoon yolanda survivors

toddler for a cause, fundraising

we are lucky that we get to enjoy many toys that our parents and loved ones have showered us on special occasions or on regular days {just because they want to give us something that cannot wait for any special reason}. i wish i can say the same for the children survivors of typhoon yolanda. i am sure that they were not able to salvage a single toy given that they barely came out of the tragedy alive.

now that we are busy making our christmas list,  i hope you will find it in your heart to share your blessings with these children who have been through to the most horrifying experience. i know they will appreciate it the most if you can give them a toy or two.

we are helping one of mum’s friends, tita iris pulga, in her aims raise 100 gifts for the children survivor of typhoon yolanda who are now taking refuge in La Isla Bonita de Salinas in Cavite.  she is planning to visit them on 14 december and bring these toys. she also hopes that they can have a jollibee party for the children and give them other presents. i am sure their little hearts will be delighted + touched by  this show of concern + love.

if you have a few toys to give, kindly bring them to the pick-up point in Medela House located at 29 1st st., new manila, quezon city. their contact numbers are 725-3723/738-6272/964-7331 {landline} +  0917-5614366 {mobile}. pre-loved toys are also welcome.

or if you have extra money to share, you may send in monetary donations, as well as loot bags filled with goodies that the children will love + enjoy. kindly email tita iris at iris_rebao@hotmail.com for details on how + where to send your donations.

if we joined hands, am sure we can make this christmas more meaningful and memorable for those who are affected by the super typhoon. thank you in advance for your help!

5 ways to donate to typhoon yolanda victims

toddler for a cause, fundraising, typhoon

we have been watching the news everyday to get updates on what’s going on in the areas that was greatly affected by typhoon yolanda {haiyan}. personally, i do not want to watch anymore as i do not want to see images of children hurting, hungry and crying ~ it is really disheartening! 🙁

mum said we can do something to help these children and their families + have went on to rummage our closet for outgrown clothes to donate. we have also included those tee that we have not worn in a while. mum washed these clothes the other day so that the people can readily wear them when they got  them. we are also emptying my coinbank + will be using my savings to buy a number of items from the grocery later on to be sent to people in tacloban.

anyone can do his share + it does not matter what or how much you give for donation, i am sure it will go a long way in helping all those who are suffering now in the typhoon-destroyed areas. we have list down a number of ways in which you can help:
