Out + About: Instant Weekend Playdate

| Outdoors | If there is one thing this generation is missing, it is the ample time spent outdoors ~ to play, get dirty, and enjoy life. I am guilty of this often as it is most convenient for this mum to have my little one cooped up at home, occupied with his games or his books, or his drawings, so I can finish chores or beat deadlines. We do not go out on playdates that often because most of my mum’s friends with kids live far. I seldom see them and mostly on special occasions, like birthdays and the likes. That is why I am really very excited when my classmate, Anthony, and I had an instant playdate today!

It was his baby brother’s christening and while everyone was busy feasting on the yummy food his family prepared for the guests, we were busy playing with his Nerf guns on the street. Mum had to accompany us because I, for one, is not really used to playing outside.

It was awesome to play and spend time outdoors! We surely enjoyed playing together on the streets, good thing there weren’t too many cars out that day.

We are excited to play together again soon and I will ask mum when we can visit my classmate’s place for another playdate! They live quite near our place so I am guessing it will be soon.

kids in doodles, out + about, movies, family time

hello there! how’s everyone doing? i am having quite a very busy summer. first, there’s my swimming class to keep me occupied + we also have a number of activities planned for this summer, on the side. one of which is watching the new super hero movie, ironman 3. i cannot stop thinking about it ever since i saw the trailer earlier this year + mum promised we’ll watch it as soon as it is showing + we did! we get to see the film on its opening day. i even get to watch it with one of my friends, rylan, which is a very welcome treat! 😀

before the film started, mum took photos of me in front of the movie standee. do you think i will make a good ironman? 😉

when they started letting in people to finally see the film, everyone was excited including me + rylan. never mind that we spent the time playing + running around. we are just bursting with energy at the thought of finally watching this film!

to say that i thoroughly enjoyed watching is an understatement! i loved it! + the part that i love the most is when all the ironman suit flew into the scene, it felt like christmastime in april! 😀

out + about

another playdate with my cousins

last sunday, my cousins + i went out for a playdate. we were supposed to go to activefun in sm north, where mum bought them unlimited playtime vouchers as christmas presents but plans were changed suddenly + we ended up going to the mall instead. so off we went to the nearest mall to our location, sm marilao.

even when we did not get to play non-stop in activefun, we still had a wonderful time together at the mall. our first stop ~ the arcade! we play this cool game where you have to hit animals, insects + other objects with little balls. of course, i cannot hit much since my little arms can only reach up to a certain point in the monitor, it was kuya sean + ate shane, who played mostly. but we all enjoyed this game, in fact, we went to play it one more time after our first round of tokens where used up + mum + tita cecille had to buy more! 😀

we also tried playing other games in the arcade, including my favorite, basketball, + a whole bunch of other slot machines where you’d get a gazillion of those tiny tickets when you hit the jackpot. you can exchange them with fun items from the counter once you reached a certain number of points.

after we used up all our tokens we transfer to this other arcade where they have different rides + games, too! ate shane got this cute angry birds plushy in one of the games. we all rode all the rides available there + when we got tired, we asked mum if we can ride those little motorcycles-for-rent. we had such a great time + we all enjoyed playing all the cool games + riding all the great rides! 😀

we capped the day by having a hearty meal in one of our favorite fast food. we sure had a wonderful time playing together + i really wish we can do this more often! 😀
