sticker happy me!

toddler, playtime, my favorite things

stickers are my absolute favorite, especially if they feature my most favorite cars characters. last week we visited one of favorite shops, the bookstore, + mum got me this issue of cars magazine {i shall share all my copies in a post soon}. what i love about this mag, aside from the colorful pictures of lightning mcqueen, tow mater + their other friends, are the colorful + big stickers that always go with each issue. i’ve put most of my old stickers to my sketch pad + for this new batch of stickers, mum gave me her black, hard-bound notebook so i have another place to put my stickers on.

we spent most of today’s late-afternoon having sticker fun. even mum enjoyed the activity + took a couple of snapshots of me, too!  of course mum had to help me with the bigger stickers so that i can put them onto my notebook, then i took care of the others on my own 😀

would you mind sharing about your love of this gooey, colorful + sticky stuffs in a comment below, i’d love to hear about them! 😉

kids in doodles: playing with stars

early learning, early childhood education, kids in doodles, playtime

one of my favorite things to do now is to play with stars, mum loves making them + placing them in bottles to be displayed in our home + while she busied herself with one of her favorite pastimes, i preoccupy myself with her finish products. here you’ll see me placing the little stars in this plastic bottle container. now i’ve moved on to pouring them from one bottle to another, one different container to the next. sure is a lot of fun! plus mum said it also keeps my little hands busy + helps me to work on my motor skills, so i guess it’s all good! 🙂

apart from counting them up + aiming to shoot them onto the plastic bottle, i also enjoy scattering them on the floor + retrieving them one by one with my mum. they might end up all over the floor + underneath the sofa, but we enjoy picking them up + keeping them in their container afterwards 😉

kids in doodles: a photo with batman

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend, playtime

we have not gone out much for the last 2 weeks because of the bad weather. it was a good thing the sun finally came out of its hiding place + chased the rain away. finally mum + i were able to go out last saturday. the timing is quite perfect as the activefun voucher mum purchased a few months back is about to expire in a few days. so off we went for one afternoon of playtime fun! 😀

we enjoyed the experience very much, as usual, even if there were too many children in the play area at the time + it was so noisy because of a party that is taking place on the other side of the place. mum also had a great time giving the slide a go! 😀

kids in doodles, weekend, out + about, playtime

unfortunately our camera ran out of battery that day. the only photos mum managed to snap are these ones where i posted in front of the batman poster, which we passed by on our way to activefun. sorry if the photos are a tad blurry! we were not able to catch this film yet, i just hope the weather continues to get better so we can go out again while it is still showing in cinemas.

what are your doodle stories for this week? do not forget to join us + include one of the badges found here. i’ll look forward to your entries, right? oh, + by the way, you might also like to check out our let’s celebrate august giveaway while you’re here 😉

kids in doodles: playing with rubber stamps

kids in doodles, playtime, toys

i know that this corner has not been updated as much it should be, truth is i was not able to post k.i.d. last week, but mum left the linky for last last week’s meme open for more than 7 days so you can all catch up. it is open for the next 2 days, so you might as well join in! 😉

anyways, today i am sharing with you one of the improvised toys that i have found in my mum’s stuff ~ rubber stamps! i am glad mum allowed me to play with this pink things that has colorful illustrations in them, including a boy + a girl, a camera, some words, a tv, a book + a camera.

kids in doodles, playtime, toys

i love playing with them, lining them up on a straight line like a choo choo train or building tall towers by stacking them up, one after another. mum helps me in this but often times, the stamps tumble over after we’ve stacked 6 pieces together. maybe they are just not made up for that kind of game, but i love them all the same. 🙂

kids in doodles, playtime, toys

i just enjoy this improvised toy, they keep my little hands busy + mum said they also make for a great educational toy, as i also count these rubber stamp blocks during playtime!

your turn to share one of your improvised toys, too, or any other doodle stories you might have in mind. add one of the colorful badges i’ve got here, link up + visit other participants so all have loads of fun!

happy rainy monday to all! 🙂

kids in doodles: a weekend with my cousins

kids in doodles, family, playtime, weekend, out + about

we live in the same city, but you’d think we live in different countries or planets since we seldom see each other. it has actually been a while since i last saw my cousins, kuya sean + ate shane, that is why i was really happy when i finally came to see them two sundays ago when we visited my grandparents’ graves. they have grown bigger + taller compared to the last time i’ve seen them. both my cousins busied themselves with school during weekdays.

the memorial is one big green park, with lots of stuff to explore + loads of area to cover + run around, that is why after a round of greetings, we were immediately on our toes walking around with our tita jinky 🙂

kids in doodles, playtime, weekend, out + about, family

we had a wonderful sunday together. the grown ups also made plan to for us to see madagascar that afternoon, but we lacked the time + decided we just do it some other time. oh well, i really had a wonderful time playing with my cousins again, much like the old times!  hopefully i’d get to see them again real soon so we can play with my new finn mcmisile die cast car {which I shall share with you in another post, i promise}! 🙂
