kids in doodles: meet my new playmate

kids in doodles, playtime, summer

one of the best things i love about my swimming class last summer is that i get to meet  + play with a lot of other kids which i don’t usually do. apart from learning how to swim together, we also get to play in the kiddie pool after class {we swim in the 4 feet/5 feet pool during class} which makes my afternoon all the more fun! 🙂

meet one of the friends i made in swimming class ~ ate ayen! she’s five + she wanted so much to adopt me as her brother! 😀  she already goes to school + also knows how to swim without the floaters, too. in fact she won a medal during the swimming class graduation day where a friendly competition participated by the students {i am not included as mum forgot to bring my swimming gears that time, plus i do not know how to swim at the time!} was also held.

kids in doodles, playtime,

check us out while we were goofing around! 😀

it has been a few weeks since our last day in swimming class + i am missing ate ayen already! i wish i’d see her soon….

your turn to share your doodles with us, do not forget to check out the other badges {+ the rules of the game, too!} here. i shall wait for your entries, then! have a great week ahead everyone! 😀

playing in the greens before my swimming lessons

playtime, summer, swimming class, toddler, green living

one of the things we need to do before starting our swimming class is to stretch to get the muscles in condition. + there is a green, grassy patch where we do our stretching each day. apart from stretching, i also enjoy walking around this area of the resort where everything around me seems green ~ from the grass to the vines crawling on the wall + the ceilings, too. it was rather relaxing + enjoyable staying in this spot + mum kinda likes it, too!  🙂

playtime, summer, swimming class, toddler, green living

here are a few of the photos mum took one time i was playing at this green area. if she can, she would’ve probably preferred to have something similar like this at home or she’d probably want to frequent a place something similar. she said one of the best things for parents to do is exposing little children to nature + teaching them how to save it at an earlier age, that way they’d develop a certain love + appreciation for nature even at an early age,+ hopefully when it is their time, they’d lend a hand in saving the environment + ultimately, our planet. i know i will! 😉

it has been awhile since i’ve been to the resort + i am missing it a lot, as well as coach abbey + the rest of the coaches. mum said she will see if i can enroll for another round of lessons next month, otherwise i will have to wait until next summer so i can practice on my swimming again. hopefully it will be sooner, i cannot wait to get back into the water again 🙂

kids in doodles: first remote control car ride

time again for kids in doodles + for this week am sharing you a video of my very first ride in one of those  remote control cars in the mall. mum + tita cel both did not want me to ride at first telling me they are only for bigger kids, but i guess they cannot do anything about it since i went ahead + rode one, anyway! so mum had no choice but to strap me to the car seat with a seat belt + zoom I went 🙂

i was enjoying the ride until i saw those bigger kids riding past me on motorcycles, i wanted so much to ride one of those! oh well, maybe when i am a bit bigger, i guess am going to have to settle for the remote control car for now!

i enjoyed the 30-minute ride anyway, steering and pretending i was driving the car, a bigger guy is actually controlling the car with a remote control in the side, but do not tell anyone, right? 😉 i guess mum + tita enjoyed it, too, as while i was busy riding away, they were busy snapping photos + taking this video! 😀

your turn to share your doodles with us. check out the other cute badges here. do not forget to visit the other participants, too! have a swell tuesday! 🙂

the games we kiddos play

playtime, my favorite things, toddler games, games for little children

playing games is probably one of the most enjoyable thing to do as a kid + i am sure, like me, you also have loads of wonderful games that you play with your mum + dad, or siblings if you have some, or cousins, or just about anyone who would like to play with you.

here are a few of the games i enjoyed playing with my mum:

  • peek-a-boo ~ is probably one of the first games i enjoyed playing with the grown ups, i particularly enjoyed waiting for them to show their faces after hiding them behind their palms, or a book, or a pillow. now that i am a bit bigger, we also count from numbers 1 to 10 while we play this
  • a is for apple ~ apart from counting, i also learning about the alphabet that is why, this game is definitely one of my faves + you should see the look of delight on mum’s face whenever i blurt out something that perfectly matches the letter she mentioned. my faves are animals, like e for elephant + d for dog!
  • filling up my coin banks  ~ this will not probably count as an actual game, but we’ve made it into one. i sure get a knack at aiming at those slots with my 1-peso or 5-peso, even 10-peso coin, while counting the coins, too! the coins also make a wonderful sound when they dropped which made this activity even better. am sure this is something even the grown ups like,  + maybe that is the reason why there are practice slots + slots casinos for them to enjoy. who knows, i might enjoy those, too, when i am older.
  • puzzles ~ i love doing puzzles, mum said it not only makes for a great toy but also harnesses my logical thinking, too. i wish mum will get me a new one, so i can alternate it with the old ones i have

i shall share more of my favorite games in my upcoming posts. so, what is your favorite game, again? 😉

kids in doodles: my new laptop

kids in doodles, toys, my favorite things, educational toys for children

time again for another edition of kids in doodles + i would like you to meet my new laptop, this is actually not-so-new as i’ve got this toy in january as a christmas present from my ninang gold. what i love about this is that it not only helps me practice on my abc’s + 123’s, but it also teaches me how to spell certain words, those which are easy enough for kids my age to do. it also teaches me to spell the numbers as well, + my current favorite is the number “zero.”
