n is for my new die cast toy car

my favorite things, cars, toys, toy cars

mum + i went to the mall 2 sundays ago + look what mum got me! it is a new die cast car to add to my growing collection of cars from the disney film, cars. this right here is sarge. if you are a fan of the film + its sequel, you will notice that sarge is often seen with the hippie car, fillmore. he runs the sarge’s surplus hut and is a world war II veteran.

here are a few more interesting facts about sarge we found on pixar wiki:

  1. his license plate reads 41WW2, which is a reference to world war II + the year when the us got in the war, 1941
  2. there are 3 versions of sarge released in the cars die-cast line: a regular version, a pit crew version {which is what i got} + a version where he is shown saluting the flag
  3. he is modeled after the famous willys mb jeep
  4. in one of the scene in the first film, sage says to next-door neighbor, fillmore “take a car wash, hippie! sounds familiar, that’s because another famous cartoon character used it, too, carl fredricksen in one of my fave films, up!

well, i hope you enjoy those tidbits of info about sarge. now, if you will excuse me, it is time to play with him + the rest of the gang! hopefully we can have fillmore in the group real soon! 🙂

my christmas wish list

my favorite things, Cars, toy cars, toys
image is from http://pixar.wikia.com

When mum asked what i wanted for Christmas i told her i’d like to have Red wrapped under our Christmas tree. Red, if you are not aware is the red fire truck from the cars movies who loves to water the plants and cries at a drop of a hat. He is one of my favorite characters and i do not have him on my diecast collection yet! Hopefully mum finds me one in time for Christmas! 🙂

I would really be delighted with any toy car gift . See, I really love cars and I collect just about anything cars! I have a number of diecasts and matchbox cars. Dad also got me this cool Porsche collectible car from a local petrol station, and we are planning to complete the entire set!

toys, toy cars

Mum was browsing online the other day and we saw this awesome battery-operated Playmobil tuning car. It’s got 4 different sounds, as well as removable door panels, wheel rims and spoilers. It even comes with its own ramp and workshop engineer! How cool is that, right? I’ve got a few years to go before i can be allowed to play with a car toy like this, as it is recommended for children 5 years and up. Anyways, I will be sure to include this in my Christmas Wish list when the time comes! 🙂

Anyway, with our without a wish list, am sure mum will come up with something extra special for me this Christmas, just like she always do! 😉

How about you, what’s on your wish list?

we immediately opened mater as soon as we bought them + i was playing with it in the car on our way back home, just right before i fell asleep.  since then, me + my diecasts are inseparable. i play with them every single day + every chance i got. i also particularly loved their size which makes them fit perfectly into my tiny hands, makes it easy for me to grab them during playtime + make them zoom past our sofa or a makeshift wooden plank! 😉

it is now your turn to share your kids in doodles with us. check out the rules + the badges here + do not forget to check out the other participants 🙂
