kids in doodles: my very first boat ride

family time, cars + other vehicles, weekend, family time, kids in doodles, out + about, Jared's firsts

i went on my very first boat ride 2 sundays ago with my family. we left the pier at 6 in the evening just in time to view the famous sunset in manila bay. it was beautiful! i consider this my very first boat ride since the time weย we went to check out the mv logos hope last year do not actually counts since the ship isn’t moving! ๐Ÿ˜€

riding a boat is much like riding a car or a jeep except that instead of cruising on the road, we are actually wading through the water + you’d get a bit wobbly sometimes especially when there is a particularly big wave ahead. our cruise includes a dinner buffer so i was feasting on my fave, pancit, while enjoying this new experience.

we even get to see a bit more of the shore and the nearby areas when we checked out the upper deck after eating. you can see the dark sky + the stars, too! they were all so interesting to look at.

i really enjoyed this experience + mum said we will ride a boat again when we visit the beach, i cannot wait! ๐Ÿ™‚

kids in doodles: riding the electronic jeep

welcome to this week’s kids in doodles. am sure you have been totally confused by now as to which day our meme actually comes up. mum + i were a bit busy, you see, but she makes it a point to put it up every week, even when there’s only too few who joined. ๐Ÿ™ simply check here from time to time, as mum sometimes had to do other tasks before putting k.i.d. up. better yet, you can subscribe to our blog via email so that you will always be updated once the post is up! ๐Ÿ™‚

now on to this week’s kids in doodles!

i am still sick today + still suffering from a bad cough. i had to come face-to-face again with the nebulizer, which i totally dislike. my cough is giving me such a hard time to breathe + mum said i had to take the inhilation medicine so i can be well again. too bad i’ve missed going to the zoo + going to activefun later today with my cousins. but mum promised we’d do something special over the weekend, so i am really hoping i will be well by the time.

anyway, am sharing with you this fun experience i had not too long ago. ย we went to makati several weeks ago for an errand + mum + i saw this interesting green jeep. mum said it runs on electricity instead of the normal jeeps which run on gasoline. really interesting, right? the nice lady who drives it was kind enough to suggest that mum let me ride so that she can take my photo in it. what do you think? mum was just not able to capture the entire jeepney as she was standing just right beside it on the side street.

we would’ve wanted to ride the jeep but it was going the other route to sm makati and we were headed to another direction, the makati post office. hopefully, we will get the change to ride this very green jeepney some other day! ๐Ÿ™‚

share your awesome doodle with us using the linky below. see you around + have a wonderful day!

kids in doodles: visiting our national hero’s monument

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend

i visited rizal park for the first time 2 saturdays ago when mum met up with her friends who love swapping postcards. the place was really huge and you’d have a hard time exploring the entire place. i simply love the fountain in the middle, too bad they only get to open it later in the afternoon, but i really love the cool dancing lights display by nighttime. there are a lot of families spending their afternoon there at the time, maybe because it is a weekend. it sure looks like a perfect place to unwind, some people rented mats so they can sit on the grassy ground and have a picnic. come to think of it, mum + i should’ve done that! ๐Ÿ˜‰

we went to explore the chess park, where the concrete tables are designed with chess boards and where all the chess enthusiasts meet to play their favorite games.we checked out the chinese garden, too. + we also get to see the monument of jose rizal, our national hero, who happens to be the main attraction in this park, and where the park got its name, too. we even have photos taken with it as our backdrop. can ย you spot me in the photo?

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend

it sure is one good place to visit, i can spend hours just looking at the fountain + running in the grass. and probably pick more of those white flowers, too! kuya kendrick + i entertained ourselves by picking those flowers + pretending they were helicopters dropping from the sky! ^_^

too bad we were not able to ride the train or the horse-driven carriage. i will make sure to try those the next time we visit!

have you been to somewhere interesting lately? share your fun stories with us + link up your entries here. do not forget to visit our other playmates, too, right? i shall wait for those doodles then! have a good one! ๐Ÿ˜€
