pocoyo + the olympics

we were up until almost midnight last saturday watching the re-run of the olympics opening ceremony. i do not know much about it, but the grown-ups seemed so keen on watching it. my tita isabel + titoΒ ken were at home for a visit that day so i was more than happy to be playing with them while we watched on the telly.

the opening ceremony included a parade of all the countries that are participating for this sporting event, + i just enjoyed the colorful costumes + uniforms, along with the colorful flags that one person from each group is holding. the olympics is hosted by the uk + the ceremony was held in a huge stadium in london. i love the lights + the fireworks afterwards.

anyway, i guess we are in an olympic frenzy still that is why my eyes, + mums, too!, where glued on this entertaining video of pocoyo about the olympics, when we discovered it on sunday. Β it was fun watching one of my favorite characters, along with his bestfriends pato + ellie, carrying the olympic torch + checking out the different games that the athletes will participate in. we really loved it + thought we’d share it with the rest of you lot!

enjoy πŸ˜‰

kids in doodles: playing with rubber stamps

kids in doodles, playtime, toys

i know that this corner has not been updated as much it should be, truth is i was not able to post k.i.d. last week, but mum left the linky for last last week’s meme open for more than 7 days so you can all catch up. it is open for the next 2 days, so you might as well join in! πŸ˜‰

anyways, today i am sharing with you one of the improvised toys that i have found in my mum’s stuff ~ rubber stamps! i am glad mum allowed me to play with this pink things that has colorful illustrations in them, including a boy + a girl, a camera, some words, a tv, a book + a camera.

kids in doodles, playtime, toys

i love playing with them, lining them up on a straight line like a choo choo train or building tall towers by stacking them up, one after another. mum helps me in this but often times, the stamps tumble over after we’ve stacked 6 pieces together. maybe they are just not made up for that kind of game, but i love them all the same. πŸ™‚Β

kids in doodles, playtime, toys

i just enjoy this improvised toy, they keep my little hands busy + mum said they also make for a great educational toy, as i also count these rubber stamp blocks during playtime!

your turn to share one of your improvised toys, too, or any other doodle stories you might have in mind. add one of the colorful badges i’ve got here, link up + visit other participants so all have loads of fun!

happy rainy monday to all! πŸ™‚

get a zoobies blanket pet of your own {7.27-8.10}

you should know by now how much we love joining giveaway + sharing some with you, too! that is i am delighted to share another one of those fun giveaways for you to join! read on for details +Β oh, while you’re here do not forget to join the hot fluffy cool baby giveaway, too, which should be ending in a few days’ time!

This Review/Giveaway is done by Kathy’s Freebies & Savings

My daughters are huge animal fans. They both have there own stuffed animals that they sleep with at night, as well as there own blankets. You try to take either away from my youngest daughter (Tesla) and she gets very upset. I don’t think my kids will ever be able to part from there stuffed animals and blankets.

I’m sure you have all heard of the pillow pets before right? Well, the zoobies are similar to the pillow pets, but in my opinion they are much better. Zoobies blanket pets are pets, blankets, and pillows, all in one. They have a huge selection of pets to choose from.

I chose Pugs the Pooch to review. Both of my daughters really love dogs, so I thought this would be the perfect choice for them. The pet is very soft and the head is very squishy. It’s actually made out of microbeads, which would be why it’s so squishy. The pooch has a zipper pouch that keeps the blanket inside. I was extremely surprised at the size of the blanket. I thought it was going to be small. It was actually a decent size. Sizing of the blankets are about 44″ by 34″, perfect for nap time. My oldest daughter (Mercades) sleeps with the blanket pet at night. I would have to say that she really loves the pooch. This will make a perfect travel buddy for my kids, when we take long trips too.

Zoobies have more then just the blanket pets. They also have Book Buddies, Duffel Dogs, Storytime Pals, Blankie Babies, and Slumber Pets. You can purchase one of the Zoobies HERE. Right now they are offering 20% off with the coupon code: PARENTHOOD.

But wait, there’s more. Zoobies is offering one of my readers a blanket pet of there own. Just enter in the rafflecopter below!
