i am fascinated with everything about cars. whenever i ride my dad’s i’d play with the steering wheel + play pretend-driving. i am also very ecstatic whenever i see a car on tv or for real + will always automatically blurt out “car” {my mum would always kid that i have a british accent ’cause i omit the r every single time 😉

i guess it is not surprising that one of my favorite toy is my first car, which was gifted to me by my ninang mars on my very first birthday. around that time, i was not big enough to play with it on my own + mum or tito always supports me whenever i ride it. but when i got bigger, i can easily maneuver my ride + play with it around my room + around our house.
i simply love cars. i also have a few little ones which i love to play, too! maybe, when i get bigger, i can ask mum to buy me a real one just like dad’s 😉
this is my kids-in-doodles share for this week, what is yours?
mum bought me this little red flap book a few months back + i did not get around to share it with you here. it is a hard-bound tiny book with unusual photos in it. when you thumb through the hard pages, you will see shadows after shadows. this is because you have to flap open the shadows on top to reveal the true photos beneath. mum bought this one with familiar images from home like a baby’s bathtub, crib + sippy cup.
we were just not able to visit the bookstore again, but mum promised to buy another one of these books {i think there are 4 different kinds}. i just love books  even if i do not know how to read yet. i love looking at pictures, chewing at the pages {especially when i was little}, + they also make for good alternative toy cars, i just simply run their spines on any flat surface + am all set 😉

one of the best things that i enjoy doing the most is playing + when we go out to visit the mall, mum makes it a point to bring me somewhere i can play around + have fun. mum + dad bought me to activefun a number of times {see my stories about them here + here} + just last week, while mum was busy attending an event, dad bought me to to this fun play area in the mall. too bad we were not able to snap some photos as mum had the camera with her.
so i will just share this fun photo my tita took two sundays ago when we went out for a stroll in the mall near our place {check out the complete post here}. the arcade part of the mall  features fun rides for little kids like me to enjoy. there is a motorcycle that really looks like the real thing, a jeep, a car, a carousel ride, + some others. of all those, this blue airplane caught my attention so i had to sample it.
tita bought a couple of coins so we can check out how the thing goes, but the moment you dropped the coin, it comes whizzing much too loud for my taste. i had this thing with those scary whizzing sounds, you see. they closely resemble the sound of my nebulizer, which i did not really like. so as quickly as it came to life, i had to sprung myself off of the ride + onto my mum’s arms. me + the airplane ride is done 😉
i’ve also tried the motorcyle ride but i was not too keen on it, either, as obviously shown on the photos above. oh well, i guess, i will get to enjoy these rides more when i get a bit older + bigger, right? i’m stuck with my bike for the meantime + those occasional go at my dad’s car whenever i had the chance.

today’s kids in doodles edition is extra special {at least for me :)} as i will be hosting it in behalf of mummy willa, kuya kendrick + kuya patrick. they are a bit busy at the moment due to their impending move back to the philippines {check out their post here} + since this meme is one of my most favorite, mum gladly volunteered to host it for the time being, then after a few weeks, it will be mummy che‘s turn to host it {she’s getting her baby blog ready ;)}
so, today i will share with you my 2nd birthday celebration, when we visited zoobic safari {somewhere up north}. we saw a lot of trees + some mountains on our way there, mum + dad said it will take a 3-hour drive by car to get to zoobic safari. i plan to stay up while travelling so i can see more of the surrounding, but i was off for my nap time an hour away from our destination.
when we got there, we immediately fell in line to get in + joined this group of guests + a tour guide to see what this place has to offer. we first went to the serpentarium, which housed the reptiles including turtles, snakes, big lizards + iguanas. i saw this big yellow snake. mum + i had our photos taken beside it, of course all of these animals are caged so they won’t go out + bite anyone 😉

i saw a lot of other animals that day, including a white tiger {which is the only one of its kind found in the zoo}, yellow tigers + lions, too, donkeys, ostriches + wild boars. we also road this car + went to feed some tigers. of course, someone has to accompany us so he can feed the tigers so we can see them upclose + personal.
we even get to see some animals perform. a wild boar, named dora, painted a picture using colored pens, a little dog danced tinikling +  some dogs + some animals indigenous to our country showed their tricks, too.
there was even a group of teenage aetas who performed their traditional dance for us, they showed some funny steps, imitating how a monkey moves.
there were also a lot of birds living in the aviary in zoobic safari, but we only managed to see a few, some horn bills + some owls, too. we never get to explore the rest of the aviary because it started to drizzle when we got there, + mum just couldn’t risk me getting wet so we explored the souvenir shops instead. dad bought me this cute white lion stuff toy.
it was a very enjoyable afternoon + we had loads of fun celebrating my 2nd birthday. i hope we can go back there when i am a bit older + have our photos taken with the baby tiger.

for mum’s birthday we went to this restaurant in the city. it was very cool since, apart from serving the best pumpkin soup i’ve ever tasted {it was the first time i tried it, too :)} they are also giving pieces of paper and crayons for children to doodle on while we wait for our meals to be served. here is what i did on my paper {mostly with mum + dad’s help, of course}

i had fun scribbling on my sheet of paper + mum + dad enjoyed it too. see mum helping me with a doodle of her own in this photo? dad also wrote some stuff, he even planned to write “happy birthday” on my paper, but did not get around to it since he got busy looking after the little guy who wants to run around the resto while mum eats…:)
