kids in doodles: bathtime funtime

it is a monday once again + time for another kids in doodles edition. sorry mum’s posting this week’s meme late. we were out very early in the morning for some errands + some fun time down at the provincial capitol park {too bad mum was not able to bring our camera to snap some shots}. we also went on our very first playschool hunt + i kindly liked the atmosphere inside a classroom with several little children like me are learning + singing abc’s! it was absolutely the coolest!

now, on with this week’s kids in doodles

i guess i have grown tired of my bathtub so i am moving on to experiment more exciting things in the bathroom + just a few weeks’ back, i tried hopping from my tub to our big pail. we use this big container to store water overnight just so we will be sure to have enough water supply the following day. + yes, i was having a funtime bathtime at a big pail full of overnight water. it was particularly cold..brrr..but who cares, it was also extra fun + i really had a great time 😀

it was also a good thing mum allowed me to play in the water for a little while longer before scooping me up + dressing me up. i guess, it helped that she was busy preparing something in the kitchen as she watched over me play in the pail, that she lost track of time, which resulted to a longer playing time in the water for me 😉

it was such a bathtime funtime + i am hoping i can repeat the act soonest. i just wish my allergy will go away so that mum will allow me to dip in the water longer after giving me a bath.

hello everyone, i hope you are all having a great monday! before anything else, i would to thank our participants from last week’s: Zzzz… Whaaat???, Iris Joehanna’s World, Mirage, maLyth, Mommy Jes, Mai @ MaiThreeBoyz +, our newest participant, Lalah. i {meaning mum, hehe!} had loads of fun reading about your entry + i am looking forward to reading your entries for this week, too. so here goes…

i have found another great improvised toy in mum’s closet + that is her sunglasses. when i was a bit younger, no one can make me wear one no matter what they do. i got fussy whenever you put something in my face or in my head that i will always reach for it + grab it so i can throw it away! 🙂

i discovered her shades recently, in one of my late night wanderings in our bedroom when i simply refuse to go to sleep 😛 so everytime i play at night, it will never be complete without getting this from the closet + asking mum to wear, which she does most of the time, but will remove as soon as she can {her vision is not really 20/20 so she is having problems seeing clearly wearing this shade at nighttime!}. sometimes, she simply had no choice so she’ll wear it anyway, while using the computer. but she said it strains her eyes + she can’t just keep it too long.

lately, mum found the most effective way for me to wear her shades, too! we play taking turns: mum wears the shade for a bit then she will pass it on to me so i can take my turn. i guess, mum made the most of it + snapped these photos to her delight.

so what do you think? do i look cool in this shades or what? 🙂

Kids In Doodles

kids in doodles: my first trick or treat

trick or treat, halloween, kids, toddlers, kids in doodles — not really what you'd call a costume...

last week, mum + I {while dad waited in the car :)} went to my first ever trick or treat. but, no, i was not wearing any costumes as i am a little squirmy to wear one + mum seem to think i was still very little for one. so, i just wore my favorite white muscle shirt + topped it with a hand-me-down polo {from my kuya sean} + paired them with my new shorts {we got this one when we went for my haircut 2 weeks’ back}. it was my boy-next-door look mum said 🙂

when we got to the place, it was swarming with little kids in scary costumes + weird make-ups. i was scare with this particular kid wearing a scream mask. it was really scary so i was careful not to stand too close beside him. besides he was really trying to scare me by staring at me + trying to call me so i’d go near him! hah! no way 😀

the afternoon was filled with fun + laughter. plus it was also a whole new experience for me to go around tita‘s office for trick or treat. i am not much into candies since i don’t really eat most of them, so it was mum who’d get all my treats {+ get to eat them in when we got home too! :)}

there were games, + prizes, too, for the bigger kids + a pair of clowns even arrived to entertain us, perform some magic + made some balloons. i got a balloon sword but i accidentally squashed it against the car so it popped!

everybody enjoyed the afternoon, i did, too. even if i was not able to participate in the games since i am still a bit smaller. snacks were also given away along with prizes for best in costume {for one girl + one boy}.

maybe, next year, i will be more interested in the treats + the parlour games + who knows mum might even convince me to wear a wizard or a russell {from up!} costume!

kids in doodles: my new haircut

everyone will be quick to notice that my hair has really grown so long over a few months {i had my last haircut in may}, that some people even mistook me for a girl because of it. i guess, i cannot blame them. my hair grows so fast in a few months that we have not been to the salon 🙂

lucky for me {+ to end my discomfort of having long hair falling into my eyes}, we were able to go out for a haircut last thursday. mum + dad brought me to the place where i got my very first haircut {i also had my last haircut there}.

compared to my very first haircut {where i was very well-behaved + actually enjoyed the experience}, i was actually up on my toes the minute the barber touched my hair. i did not like the feeling of having a total stranger touched my hair, let alone spray some water in it + cut it. using the razor is probably the worst thing he’d ever done. i was clutching my mum the minute i heard the buzzing sound.

i was actually hugging my mum all the while. the barney video helped a bit to make me relax, but i guess what finally made me let my hair down are the bubbles that a lady helper made for my entertainment 🙂 you know how much i love bubbles, right?

all in all, it was a pleasant experience + i was very comfy after all the extra hair is gone. mum + dad failed to take some decent photos while my hair was being cut though as i was throwing a tantrum + mum was so occupied holding me in place while dad was busy trying to entertain me 🙂

play, kids, toys, kids in doodles — that's me mounting our closet

another great play spot i’ve discovered recently is our little closet. unlike one of those big closets, ours is actually a children closet + stands several inches taller that i do + i was surprised to discover that i can actually stand inside it while playing.

apart from playing inside the closet, i was delighted to find out that i can actually remove the bar which mum used to hang our clothes on, + used it as a toy, like a lightsaber, probably. i would brandish the lightsaber around + have so much fun doing it 😀
