kids in doodles: bathtime funtime

kids in doodles, toddlers, play, bathtime

it is a monday once again + time for another kids in doodles edition. sorry mum’s posting this week’s meme late. we were out very early in the morning for some errands + some fun time down at the provincial capitol park {too bad mum was not able to bring our camera to snap some shots}. we also went on our very first playschool hunt + i kindly liked the atmosphere inside a classroom with several little children like me are learning + singing abc’s! it was absolutely the coolest!

K.I.D, kids in doodles

anyway before i went on to share my story for the week, i would just like to thank everyone who participated in last week’s kids in doodles: check out some cheeky comments at maLyth‘s entry, the techie playdate at Little Zoie’s Steps, check out the funny + fun side of her family at mommy-jheng‘s entry, see how Iris Joehanna’s day in the mall was, watch how creative little children can be at Our Home and Haven‘s post, be in awe at this picasso-ish masterpiece by D at Mirage‘s post + check MommyandMatt as they check out a very cool art exhibit.

also, notice how our linky for last week was peppered with uber cute thumbnails of your lovely posts? mum + i would like to give virtual hugs + kisses to tita Mirage for generously sharing her inlinkz with us. thank you! mwah!

now, on with this week’s kids in doodles

kids in doodles, toddlers, play, bathtime

i guess i have grown tired of my bathtub so i am moving on to experiment more exciting things in the bathroom + just a few weeks’ back, i tried hopping from my tub to our big pail. we use this big container to store water overnight just so we will be sure to have enough water supply the following day. + yes, i was having a funtime bathtime at a big pail full of overnight water. it was particularly cold..brrr..but who cares, it was also extra fun + i really had a great time 😀

it was also a good thing mum allowed me to play in the water for a little while longer before scooping me up + dressing me up. i guess, it helped that she was busy preparing something in the kitchen as she watched over me play in the pail, that she lost track of time, which resulted to a longer playing time in the water for me 😉

kids in doodles, toddlers, play, bathtimeit was such a bathtime funtime + i am hoping i can repeat the act soonest. i just wish my allergy will go away so that mum will allow me to dip in the water longer after giving me a bath.

now it is your turn to share your kids in doodles stories. tell!

strolling at the park

family time, toddlers, play

i wish it was an actual park, but we have yet to visit a nearby park on a free afternoon + this one is actually the outdoor park of the mall we went to last week to have my hair cut. after we got tired of all the rushing people inside the mall, we went out to the uncovered mini park to walk a bit more + see the greenery there. too bad the fountain + the mini pond is being cleaned that day so i was not able to see jets of water or any  fish swimming around. maybe it will all be up + running the next time we visit.

apart from strolling, we also ate at one of mum’s favorite place. i only had a few spoonfuls of the japanese rice + mango shake she ordered since i am too busy wanting to walk around, with mum + dad chasing after me.

we also hopped from one shop after another, not really buying much but just window shopping. mum wanted to get me something for halloween but did not find any costume that she think i’d wear, so it left me with nothing to wear for thursday’s trick or treat at tita cel’s office. we also marvel at the lovely christmas decorations + trees that are on display this early.

too bad we do not have much photos taken. i guess i was such a handful that mum + dad really has no time for anything else. oh well, maybe we’d take more pictures on our next family time ;D

my other shape-sorter toy

toys, play, kids, toy stories

this is a hand-me-down toy from my tita belle, which was first handed down to my cousins, sean + shane, + probably, even, my tito ken, when he is just a toddler 🙂 tita belle told me to take care of it as she will be handing it down to her future children, too!

this toy is actually 20 years old or more, as this used to be my tita’s toy when she was just a little girl. it was gifted to her by one of her ninangs one christmas.

this toy is a shape-sorter, that mum + her siblings fondly called “shape-o”. it has shapes like a circle, square, rectangle, oval, star, cross, among other shapes. i do not recognize most of them yet, since i only enjoy scattering them on the floor or forcing a shape into an entirely different slot {i am successful as some point!:) }, but am sure mum will teach me how to play it well soon when i am ready!

this is my toy stories share for the week, care to share yours?

my new toy: horsie the seahorse

toys, kids, playmum got me a new toy last week when we went out to the mall over the weekend. i’d like you to meet horsie, my new plushie seahorse. i fell in love with her {or was it a he?} color – blue! my tita showed me it to me from one of the racks at the baby section of the department store + i never put it down since then, that mum has to buy it! 🙂

i am having loads of fun playing with horsie + the rest of my toys.  just this morning i was showing them the view from the upstairs balcony. i guess they enjoyed it there as much as i do!

i look forward to more enjoyable playtime with them.

this is my toy story, what is yours?

my new favorite little corner

kids, play, Jared

this is my new little corner…our 2nd floor balcony, which is just outside our bedroom.

every morning when i wake up, i’d ask mum to open the door upstairs that leads to the balcony. i love to play there + feel the soft breeze of the morning {or late morning – as i usually wake up quite late ;)}, aside from that, i also love to see the view from here, the cars passing by {which i’d be very quick to note, by the way!}, the birds perched in the roof nearby, or the children walking to + from school which is not too far from our place + just see the wide open sky before me.

or sometimes, i’d just walk from one end of the balcony to the other end or peer through the grills + see what’s down there. maybe one day we can put up a tent + camp out here 🙂
