Join SpongeBob SquarePants + His Friends In The Ultimate Bikini Bottom Buddy Search!

events, Nickelodeon, kids, announcement, weekend

If you love watching Spongebob + his friends, then we have some good news for you! Read on to know more about Nickelodeon’s evening treats on 20-24 July, and the Bikini Bottom Party happening this Saturday, 18 July at SM Megamall!

Kids and kids-at-heart are about to have a lot of underwater fun this July as Nickelodeon treats everyone to a SpongeBob SquarePants spectacular! From July 20-24, tune in to Nickelodeon and enjoy the evening with SpongeBob, Patrick, and the rest of the gang for two whole hours every day, starting at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. We know watching our favourite characters from Bikini Bottom get silly and crazy is already such a thrill in itself, but that’s not even half the fun! Every day, the two-hour marathon will feature eight characters from the show. The real excitement begins at the end of the last episode, when you can finally get in on the action. It’s also where it gets tricky, because not only would you have to remember all eight characters you spent the evening with, but you also have to start hunting them down—on your computer! Be sure to catch a quick instruction on TV at the end of the marathon, then go online to play the Ultimate Bikini Bottom Buddy Search. Find the SpongeBob poster image and spot all the eight characters of the day! You might need to borrow dad’s magnifying glasses for this one, because there sure is a big Bikini Bottom party going on in there, and could get pretty crowded in the neighbourhood. By the end of the week, if you were able to find all 40 of SpongeBob’s friends and have managed to clear all five levels of the online game, you’ll a get chance to unlock an exclusive never-before-seen SpongeBob SquarePants episode online! You could also win awesome prizes and get to create your own Bikini Bottom resident. How’s that for an under the sea adventure?

If you have not made any plans for the weekend, here is a great way to spend the afternoon with family and friends:

out + about: intramuros

weekend, out + about, travel

it sure was a gloomy + bleak day because of the storm + we have no classes today, but i am glad that we still managed to have quite an enjoyable day.we read this very interesting book, played with my transformers toys + with our teensy-weensy microscope. one of the things that i miss doing now that the rainy season is here again is traveling + visiting interesting places, just like what we did last year when we visited intramuros in manila. i did not get around to telling you all about it, so hear goes…

weekend, out + about, travel

intramuros is one very interesting place for anyone to visit. the walled city is full of awesome places to check out, including a couple of churches, souvenir shops and museums. at the time of our visit, the atmosphere was very festive thanks to the street performers and the numerous shops that set up their wares and products on the street. my favorite of all was this shop that sells very huge bubble makers. i really had a wonderful time chasing the larger-than-life bubbles with other kiddos around.

weekend, out + about, travel

another activity that i really enjoyed that day was when i tried the quad bike or what they call the electric chariot from one of the companies who joined the street exhibit that day. it was an awesome experience to try out the bike. i am sure i would’ve absolutely enjoyed it more if i was able to give it a go around the area.

weekend, out + about, travel

it was indeed a great experience to visit intramuros. before leaving we also stopped by this souvenir shop with mum + her postcrossing friend, where i got to see all these pretty postcards. can you guess which ones we bought?

traveling to places is really a fun + enjoyable activity. i just hope the weather will clear up soon so we might get to spend time outdoors. in the meantime, let us all stay safe + pray that typhoon glenda won’t wreak havoc in our country.

kids in doodles: photo op with santa!

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend, christmas

it is christmas time + what better way to celebrate it here at kids in doodles than by showing off our photos with santa in it! 🙂

we went to the mall over the weekend as we accompanied my titas in shopping for christmas gifts + other stuff. mum also bought a couple of gifts for me + dad. the mall sure is a happy place to be in this time of year as there are loads of colorful + beautiful displays all around + it was teeming with happy shoppers busy hopping from one shop to the next looking for items to buy.

one of the lovely christmas attraction of the particular mall we visited is the chance to have your photos taken with santa! we paid php50 to get in, the payment will be donated to the survivors of super typhoon yolanda, so it feels like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone. meeting santa upclose + personal + extending help to those who need it, a win-win situation! 😀

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend, christmas

mum initially was not supposed to be in the photo as she will be taking my picture but since a very kind kuya was on stand-by  to help take our photos, mum was able to be in this picture with santa! that’s another item on our christmas checklist ticked off! just excuse the bib on the first photo, it is my security blanket + i do not want to go anywhere without it.

after our photo op with santa, mum also took a quick snap of me sitting in santa’s big red sofa. it sure is comfy + am sure i can fall asleep in it!

time for you to share your wonderful photo ops with santa. do not forget to include one of our badges on your post + link up. visit our other playmates to make our game + christmas more fun!

have a wonderful christmas everyone! ^_^

events, toddler for a cause, weekend, press release

here is another way how we can spread the christmas cheer to less privileged kids, be part of carenival ~ a day of smiles for the kids of gawad kalinga.  read the press release below to know how you can help:

If you once loved carnivals as a kid {or still do until now}, share this delight to other children as Gawad Kalinga Quezon City (GKQC), in cooperation with The Expressions Company, brings Carenival, a day for the children of GKQC villages. This will be on December 15, 2013 {Sunday} at the Ateneo de Manila University MVP – Roof Deck from 10 am to 5pm.

Fun booths and a variety show will be setup to entertain more than 200 kids. Here are ways on how you can take part in this celebration of caring and sharing: Be a volunteer ate and kuya for a day! Everyone is welcome to meet and mingle with the kids. Bring your family and friends too! Donate in kind or in cash.

Feeling like you need to outgrow your fascination over you precious Care Bear set, Voltes V action figures, or Barbie doll collection already? Donate them and bring joy to the beneficiaries’ faces. Excess toy donations will also be sent to the kids in areas affected by Typhoon Yolanda. Bring your toy donations on the event itself or leave them at UP Circle of Administrator’s designated drop-off points at UP Diliman NCPAG Lobby or UP Circa Tambayan, until December 13.

Cash donations are also welcome and will be used to provide more materials for the children. Be a volunteer performer. Are you a puppeteer, magician, balloon twister or any kind of kiddie party performer? Share your talent to the kids and be their heroes!
