kids in doodles: where have you been recently?

hello again + happy monday everyone! time now for another round of kids in doodles + before we start off, i’d like to apologize for not posting one last week, mum + i were up to something + we were rather spending more time offline + outside that mum was not able to update not only this corner but most of her other blogs…

kids in doodle round-up:

♥ read how our buddy vince crispaul spent his weekend with his family

♥ check out this foodie adventure at maithankfulheart

now on to this week’s doodle + our topic  is: the place you recently visited

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend

i know you little creatures are also jet-setters + wandering souls in the making, tagging along with the grown-ups to just about anywhere they go, may that be the grocers, the beach, the park, the mall, somewhere out-of-town or abroad! we’ve yet to go out of town + frenzy is building up at home courtesy of my mum for our upcoming vacation next month. but today, i will share about our little trip to the park in the city, the quezon memorial circle!

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend,

i was tagging along with mum for yet another one of her adventures + this time she’s meeting up with her friends who all love postcards {this is right after our weekend playday at the mall}. she was too busy with her postcards + her friends, it was a good thing we tag along my tita to keep me company + to run after me as we discover the park. it was a huge park + we’ve not seen a lot of it since we arrived a bit late + it started drizzling in the late afternoon.

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend

it was our first time in this park, although we’ve visited the neighboring park, ninoy aquino parks + wildlife, once before. this park is huge + there were a lot of kids with their families at the time. there are also loads of trees + flowers around + mum even photographed a few of them.

we also went inside the memorial, that tall edifice in the middle which housed the tomb of the late president manuel quezon + his wife. too bad we were not able to explore the exhibit as the guided tour just ended when we got there. hopefully we’ll get to see it again some time. mum said we ought to go back since we only had limited time to look around. hopefully the next time we visit back, my tito will tag along! 😉

how was your weekend?

kids in doodles, weekend, out + about, playtime

we really a very eventful weekend last sunday. we went to the block in sm north to check out the newly-opened jamba juice branch. i was excited ’cause did not tell there’d be a fun play area for little ones like me! i really had a wonderful time going up + down the slides one too many times! mum helped me to the slides on most occasion, other times i am climbing it on my own! 🙂

i’ve also tried the trampoline, although it made me feel queasy that i only tried it for a few minutes. mum + i tried the blender bike, too, although i cannot try it out on my own since my legs are a bit tiny for the bike + i cannot reach the pedal just yet. hopefully in a few years time, i’d be able to ride that bike on my own!

i have also tried jamba juice for the first time + i’d say it did taste good! although i only had a few sips + cannot possibly finish a whole tumbler on my own, i would love to have some again soon!

kids in doodles, weekend, out + about, playtime

too bad we only had to stay for an hour with jamba juice as we have another event to go to!  mum, tita + i headed to the qc memorial circle where mum’s postcrosser friends are meeting up for their regular eye ball. i shall share more of that in another post. 😉

your turn to share your doodles! do not forget to include one of our badges found here + hop on to all the other participants. also, make sure to add social share buttons to your posts as mum would really love to share your fun doodle posts 😉

kids in doodles: a photo with batman

kids in doodles, out + about, weekend, playtime

we have not gone out much for the last 2 weeks because of the bad weather. it was a good thing the sun finally came out of its hiding place + chased the rain away. finally mum + i were able to go out last saturday. the timing is quite perfect as the activefun voucher mum purchased a few months back is about to expire in a few days. so off we went for one afternoon of playtime fun! 😀

we enjoyed the experience very much, as usual, even if there were too many children in the play area at the time + it was so noisy because of a party that is taking place on the other side of the place. mum also had a great time giving the slide a go! 😀

kids in doodles, weekend, out + about, playtime

unfortunately our camera ran out of battery that day. the only photos mum managed to snap are these ones where i posted in front of the batman poster, which we passed by on our way to activefun. sorry if the photos are a tad blurry! we were not able to catch this film yet, i just hope the weather continues to get better so we can go out again while it is still showing in cinemas.

what are your doodle stories for this week? do not forget to join us + include one of the badges found here. i’ll look forward to your entries, right? oh, + by the way, you might also like to check out our let’s celebrate august giveaway while you’re here 😉

kids in doodles: a weekend with my cousins

kids in doodles, family, playtime, weekend, out + about

we live in the same city, but you’d think we live in different countries or planets since we seldom see each other. it has actually been a while since i last saw my cousins, kuya sean + ate shane, that is why i was really happy when i finally came to see them two sundays ago when we visited my grandparents’ graves. they have grown bigger + taller compared to the last time i’ve seen them. both my cousins busied themselves with school during weekdays.

the memorial is one big green park, with lots of stuff to explore + loads of area to cover + run around, that is why after a round of greetings, we were immediately on our toes walking around with our tita jinky 🙂

kids in doodles, playtime, weekend, out + about, family

we had a wonderful sunday together. the grown ups also made plan to for us to see madagascar that afternoon, but we lacked the time + decided we just do it some other time. oh well, i really had a wonderful time playing with my cousins again, much like the old times!  hopefully i’d get to see them again real soon so we can play with my new finn mcmisile die cast car {which I shall share with you in another post, i promise}! 🙂

kids in doodles, out + about, playtime, weekend, family

another fun carousel ride

kids, whites, kids fashion, rides, weekend, out + about

rides are just absolutely fun, but back when i was a tad smaller i was not really too fond of them, well except when i am riding for the first time, really, which i totally enjoyed! there was a time when i had to get off a fun airplane ride at a local arcade when the ride came to life.

anyway, i guess i am really growing up since then, cause when i had another round at this colorful grand carousel when we went to the mall some weeks ago, i simply enjoyed the ride. + what do you know, i was even taking my hands of the handle bars of my horsey! mum was so delighted when i did that, but had to remind me to keep my hands on the handle bars, anyway 😀

kids, kids fashion, weekend, rides, out + about, whites

by the way, i was wearing my white shirt from big + small company {which mum got me for christmas}, my black shorts from sm department store – kid section, + my florsheim sandals. it was really hot these days + mum wanted to dress me in the most comfortable clothes whenever we go out. the only setback is that my white shirt ended dirty white after the whole afternoon of running around the mall + browsing thru stacks of postcards + books on display 😀

so how’s your carousel ride? i would love to hear about your experience.

sharing this thru:

+ joining here for the first time, too:
