kids in doodles:playing with my blue balloon

kids, play, balloon

it was another gloomy + rained down weekend, as much mum loved for us to go out in the sun, the sun is nowhere to be found + it was raining cats + dogs for days on end, we had no choice but to stay at home. glad i enjoyed watching the raindrops splattering onto puddles of rainwater in the ground from my bedroom window.

kids, play, balloon

on saturday evening tita cecille came home with this nice blue balloon.Β  i had loads of fun playing with it the next day. mum enjoyed watching me throw this thing in the air then went around the room to catch it wherever it lands. she had a bit of a trouble keeping up with the livewire,Β  i was all over the place + i was gone the moment she clicks on the cam. that explains why the first photo was a little bit blurry πŸ™‚ after a while, mum had to give up + played with meΒ  instead. + it made playtime doubly fun!

how did you spend your rainy weekend? tell me about it, + while you’re here you might as well check out my birthday giveaway, it makes passing the rainy days more fun, plus you will even get to win $100 cash if you are lucky πŸ˜‰

this is my share for this week’s:

a colorful playdate

play, kidsabout 2 wednesdays ago, mum, dad + i, together with my tita cecille + tito ken were headed manila-bound. my tito + tita are watching harry potter + the deathly hallows at sm megamall (mum won 2 tickets for a block screening from clubzed {smart}) whilst mum + dad will be heading to that tribute party for her fave band, incubus (trivia: i was supposed to be named after the lead vocals of this group but dad has another idea, so i was named after another band’s vocalist + unintentionally, after a famous actor which coincidentally happens to be my mum’s fave, too :))

kids, playmum had a brilliant plan of tagging me along, but, since i am way too little to watch the last installment of the potter series on the big screen (i get scared with voldemort loads of times you see + mum is worried i’d be traumatized when i see him larger than life in his 3d glory!), + since we also won a gc from activefun (from mum’s fave parenting mag, smart parenting) that entitles us to an unlimited time of playing, we played in activefun for hours whilst waiting for my tito + tita to finish watching the film, who will then bring me home as my parents head to the tribute party in makati.

play, kids, activefunit was a good plan indeed + everyone agreed with it. of course, i totally enjoyed being part of the plan as i really get to have loads of fun whenever we visit this play area. it was actually my third time to visit + i did not enjoy the place less. i know mum enjoyed it too, she totally liked having a go at the slide. we went together since i am a tad small to go on my own just yet.

play, kidsmum + i headed to the trampoline first (with mum much more excited than me). we never got to try this in our first 2 visits + now is the best time to sample this treat, especially there is no one else around (read: older + bigger kid who might trampled me over! :D). i tried bouncing up + down while mum bounced in her place while seated. it was fun but i guess i’ll enjoy this part a lot better when i am a bit bigger!

play, kidsi also tried the blocks (of course i tried throwing all the blue things all over the place:D) + mum tried shooting some balls into the hoop while i watched. after that we head on to the area of the place meant for little tots like me. this is where the sea of colorful balls are located, as well as the slide where mum + i played a bit as well + this cool area on top which looks a lot like a sailboat’s deck. i had a blast trying the steering wheel + pretended to be a sailor!

play, kids

i also sampled the colorful piano mounted on the wall. i just love the music it makes while i press on the keys. i also tried the huge floor piano, it was very big i had to take a lot of steps before i was able to reach the other end. the keys lit up, aside from giving off a beautiful sound, while i step on them. fun!

it was one enjoyable day, i would love to go there over again.Β  it was only too bad mum never got to go to the party but dad bought front row tickets to the concert so i guess she is more than happy with that ;D

kids in doodles: Jared went a-doodling

kids, doodlesmum brought me a 12-piece pack of crayon last christmas, she thinks it is about the right time to introduce me to these colorful things + i guess she thought right as i have taken on to these tiny colorful sticks!

it is part of my morning ritual to grab my colors (which are neatly placed in my pencil case, it is actually mum’s which was given to her by one of her mummy blogger friends :)) + spread them around the room or use it to write some doodles everywhere.

recently mum gave me her notebook so i can doodle on something so i did! i used different crayons for this doodle: purple, red, yellow + others. look what i have made so far. do you like it?

kids, doodles

doodling is one of the activities that i enjoy doing + mum enjoyed it too.

care to share your doodles with us? πŸ˜‰

messy-go-round: Jared + the messy buds

kids, playone of the things in our room that i really enjoy playing with are the cotton buds. i get the kicks at removing them from their resealable pack (of course, i ask mum’s help to do this for me ;)) + scattering them either on my mat, or the floor, my playpen or the bed (much like what in the photo).

kids, play

i like it when the tiny white cotton buds are strewn all over the place, disorderly + messy. i tried to count them one by one + grabbed as many as i can with my grubby little hands. it is very much fun πŸ˜‰

so, what have you been messing about lately?

bubbles are bliss!

bubbles, kidslast week, mum finally managed to capture my fascination with bubbles using our camera. it was nighttime + my tita (aunt) cecille just got home from work. of course, i’d love to play with her as soon as i can. mum won’t let me run around the house since it is quite late and i was a tad sleepy, too, so i was stuck in my playpen.

kids, bubbles

what i did is ask my tita to make some bubbles (actually more like gestured for her to reach for my bubble sword since i am not speaking much yet!). i have this bubble sword that mum got from the toy store last month (it was my second actually, since i have managed to break the handle of the first one + used up all the bubble juice, too!). my bubble sword is rather big, it stands almost up to my chest + make a lot of huge bubbles to my enjoyment!

mum was on the sideline taking photos while my tita + i played. those photos above are just a few of the shots she made. she sure took a number of photos capturing the beautiful bubbles. you can check out our photos here. if you’d look at the photos one after another in a speedy manner, you’d actually think the images are moving! cool, right!

this is my kids-in-doodles moment of the week, have you got any?
